Hurricane Charley

Charley roared through here at barely a cat 1, but he managed to entertain us for a few hours.We suffered some minor damage around the house. Some fencing down, decorative lights damaged. Lots of pine cones and limbs in the front yard. The tarps on the backyard storage areas are in shreds. No one has been on the roof yet but I don't anticipate any damage there. We got very little rain here - mostly wind.And the wind was beautiful, we all sat on the porches most of the night watching the trees dance. There was even a late night voyage around the neighborhood to survey the damage, which is when we discovered the power line down and thought that could be the cause of the darkness in my neighborhood. We considered getting some implements of destruction to fix it but before 5 hippies could collect them into a red VW Microbus the lights came back on, he he he just kidding! Anyway, the lights came back on early this morning and the boys have been up ever since so I am on my second day of limited sleep.
